This
has been a trendy spot for years, big with the Bohemian & Birkenstock
crowd – suits are generally from the creative world looking for
a taste of the edge. “We are famous for our fresh and flavourful
Lao-Thai and pan-global cuisine, and sinful desserts,” their website
says, and it’s mostly true. Their food is interesting and flavourful.
Their spring rolls come from Vanipha Lanna, and their desserts are
lovely, especially when sitting out on the back patio, (in the summer.)
Occasionally this spot is a little pretentious, and if you aren’t
hip or cool enough you can get the cold shoulder – or at least I
have. But calling it the “Queen Mom” will help you seem “in the
know”. cheapeats contributor - AEC
